$1 Billion Gap in Transportation, HUD Funding

HUD needs approximately $1 billion in additional funding this year compared to Fiscal Year (FY) 16 just to maintain current program levels and renew existing rental assistance contracts. The Senate Appropriations Committee has allocated about $1 billion less to the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD) Subcommittee than was funded for this year. This math is troubling.
